A car, a monkey and a myrtle.

Three cheers for the weekend! I’m so glad it’s here. It’s been busy both at work and at home this last week and I’ll be glad to veg out with some knitting this weekend. Last weekend was spent test driving and looking at cars. Chris finally settled on a 2007 Pontiac G5 and traded in his beloved 1997 Plymouth Breeze. The Breeze was a good, reliable car that had definitely started to show it’s age so now Chris has a shiny new one.

On Monday I came home to a package. In only 4 days my Etsy yarn purchase arrived and is really lovely. My sockapalooza pal requested yarn that was “jewel tones in a fall color pallate”. That was not an easy combo to find but I think this fits the bill..I hope so anyway.

The yarn is Kaleidoscope hand dyed in color “HM18” and is 100% merino. I love the colorway but the hanks are now beginning to look a lot like this

It’s the Monkey sock lounging on the spoiler of the new car (at night, hence the dark background..sorry, no excuse for the bad photography). And since we were having fun taking pictures at night out in the front yard, here’s a picture of our one year old Crepe Myrtle we planted last year. It’s blooming!

  1. What a gorgeous coloured hank! I think it fits the description very well.
